Email Marketing Expert

Better U is a cash-pay telehealth company based in Hollywood, CA. We help people feel better through ketamine-assisted therapy, psychiatry, HRT/TRT, GLP-1 weight management, peptides, NAD+, psychotherapy and sexual health. We're growing fast, we're adding new service lines, and our email program hasn't kept up. That's where you come in.

We're looking for one person who wants to own email end to end. I don't want someone who waits for a brief. I want someone who looks at our data, tells me what's broken, and fixes it.

What you'll own

‍
- Our full Customer.io setup: segments, journeys, broadcasts, transactional messages and reporting
- Lifecycle flows from lead capture through intake, first visit, refills, reactivation and win-back
- Cross-sell paths between service lines (someone on TRT might be a great fit for peptides or NAD+, for example)
- Launch campaigns for new offerings as we roll them out
- Deliverability, list health and domain reputation
- A/B testing on subject lines, timing, offers and content, with clear reporting on what actually moved revenue
- Copy and design, or managing whoever does it, so every send sounds like us

What we need from you

- Deep, hands-on Customer.io experience. You should be comfortable with event-based triggers, attributes, Liquid, webhooks and data pipelines, not only the drag-and-drop builder
- A track record of lifecycle email for DTC, subscription or healthcare brands, with real numbers you can show us
- Experience marketing in a regulated space. Healthcare email has rules around patient privacy, prescription drug claims and compounded medications. You need to know how to write compelling copy that stays compliant
- Strong opinions backed by data
- Someone who communicates clearly and doesn't disappear for a week

Nice to have

- Experience with telehealth, men's health, women's health, weight loss or mental health brands
- Experience connecting an EHR or intake platform to Customer.io
- SMS experience (we may expand this later)
