Jon Avidor is an experienced executive, investor and attorney. Avidor began his career at the prestigious Wall Street law firm Sullivan & Cromwell LLP in New York, where he represented top financial institutions such as Goldman Sachs and Barclays, and Fortune 500 companies such at AT&T and Diageo. Later, Avidor moved his practice to Silicon Valley to represent venture capital leaders such as Khosla Ventures and Sequoia Capital, and entrepreneurs selling their startups to tech titans such as Intel, LinkedIn and Paypal. In 2016, Avidor formed Avidor Law and World Trade Ventures, to focus on venture capital and startup company transactions. In 2019, Avidor engineered and facilitated the largest and most successful cannabis company roll-up in California, serving as Chairman, President and CEO of Shryne Group Inc. (aka STIIIZY), and building a $500M+/year conglomerate with 2500+ employees. During his 4-year tenure with STIIIZY, Avidor was directly responsible for sourcing, overseeing and closing $200M+ of capital financing and $100M+ of M&A transactions in the face of industry headwinds and complex internal politics. Avidor earned a JD-MBA cum laude from Northwestern University and a BA from UC Davis, and enjoys golf, tennis, hockey and aviation in his free time.
