I am Violet Wurtzberger, MS, LPCC, LADC. I earned my master’s degree in Co-occurring Disorders Recovery Counseling from Metropolitan State University in 2021. As both a licensed mental health provider and a licensed alcohol and drug counselor, I specialize in treating co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. This dual perspective allows me to consider how mental health symptoms, trauma, substance use, and recovery affect one another.
I am an EMDR-certified therapist and incorporate Internal Family Systems (IFS) into my work. These approaches allow me to help clients process trauma, better understand the different parts of themselves, and develop healthier ways of responding to difficult emotions and experiences.
I believe therapy is a collaborative journey where you are in the driver’s seat and I am in the passenger seat, helping you navigate obstacles and identify possible detours. You are the expert in your own life, and we will only explore paths that align with your goals, values, and readiness. My goal is for you to leave each session feeling you have made meaningful progress while developing the insight, confidence, and practical tools needed to continue moving forward.
