With 28 years of experience in the social services field and 18 years as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Louisiana (3440), I am dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate life’s challenges, heal from trauma, and build healthier, more fulfilling lives.
Throughout my career, I have worked in a variety of therapeutic settings, providing compassionate, client-centered care tailored to everyone’s unique needs and experiences. I began my counseling career with the Office of Juvenile Justice, where I spent 10 years working with adolescents and their families. During that time, I provided individual therapy, substance use counseling, family therapy, and treatment services for juveniles with sexual behavior concerns. This experience gave me extensive knowledge in addressing trauma, behavioral challenges, family conflict, and complex emotional needs while supporting families in creating healthier communication patterns and stronger relationships.
In addition to direct counseling work, I have experience in behavioral health leadership and compliance management, having served as a compliance officer for a rural behavioral health clinic. My professional background also includes outpatient, community-based, and in-home counseling services, allowing me to understand clients within the context of their daily lives and environments.
Today, my private practice primarily focuses on supporting young women who are healing from trauma. I strive to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental therapeutic space where clients feel empowered to process difficult experiences, develop healthy coping strategies, and move toward lasting emotional wellness and personal growth.
My therapeutic approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family Education Program (FEP), Juvenile Sex Offender Treatment Program (JSOTP), Brainspotting (Level 1 Certified), and Person-Centered Therapy. Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) – Louisiana License #3440 Session Fee: $120 per 50-minute tele therapy session with clients living in Louisiana.
