Liza Shaw is a trauma-informed psychotherapist in Carolina Beach, NC. She offers in-person and remote therapy sessions and is Licensed to work with clients in NC. She's been practicing Therapy since 1999, when she earned her Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Appalachian State University. Liza is also a Certified Advanced Clinical Hypnotherapist and Breathworker, and combines these modalities with Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy to create a proprietary, more multifaceted approach to clients' healing processes.Liza's method is compassionate yet directive and solution-focused. She utilizes multiple techniques including systems theory (helping clients understand the patterns they play out and to recognize their role in the various systems that make up their lives, such as family, work, etc), Internal Family Systems (Parts Therapy), Cognitive Behavioral, Possibility Therapy, Brief Therapy, Psychodynamic, Reality Therapy and Narrative Therapy.Integration is a crucial aspect of Liza's work as a Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapist, and she enjoys helping clients discover -- often for the first time -- their wise, inner healer.
